Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VedaCharts (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and by ourPrivacy PolicyandDisclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or appear compromised.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service or to place excessive load on our systems.
• Upload, share, or submit content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission.
• Impersonate another person or submit birth data or personal information that is not yours without permission.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

VedaCharts offers a Free tier and a paid Supporter tier. Paid subscriptions are processed through a third-party payment provider (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize a recurring monthly charge at the price shown on ourPricingpage until you cancel. Prices, features, and plan details may change from time to time; we will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify active Supporters of material changes before they take effect.

6. Cancellation, Refunds, and Chargebacks

You may cancel your Supporter subscription at any time from your account settings or the Stripe customer portal linked there. Cancellation stops all future charges. Your Supporter access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account reverts to the Free tier. Free-tier content and any charts saved within the Free chart slot are unaffected by cancellation.

All charges are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for unused time, partial months, accidental purchases, forgotten subscriptions, or any other reason. This policy is disclosed before purchase, and you can cancel at any time from your account, so the way to stop being charged is to cancel rather than to request a refund.

If you believe a charge is in error (duplicate billing, charges on an account you did not create, etc.), please email us at support@vedacharts.com before disputing the charge with your card issuer. We will investigate and resolve legitimate billing errors. Initiating a chargeback in lieu of cancellation or support contact may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and we reserve the right to decline future signups associated with the same payment method or email address.

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided by VedaCharts, including courses, articles, horoscopes, quizzes, flashcards, games, chart interpretations, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to VedaCharts and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, republish, or redistribute our content without written permission, except as permitted by fair use or similar legal doctrines.

8. User-Submitted Data

When you create a chart, you provide birth data (date, time, place, and optionally a name). You retain ownership of your chart data. By using the Service, you grant VedaCharts a limited license to store, process, and display your chart data as needed to operate the Service (for example, to calculate and render your chart, sync it across your devices, or display it in features you have opted into). 9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payment processing, geocoding, timezone lookup, and similar functions. These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers, and outages or errors in their systems may affect availability of parts of the Service.

10. Educational and Informational Purpose

VedaCharts is an educational platform. Content and interpretations provided through the Service, including algorithmically generated readings, are for educational and entertainment purposes only, and are not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. 11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VedaCharts and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to VedaCharts in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VedaCharts and its creators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, to us, or to third parties. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will survive.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the state in which VedaCharts is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in that location, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law.
