If your Moon is here

You have a cutting clarity and a low tolerance for what is false or sloppy. Your emotional default is to burn through confusion until the truth is visible. You protect what matters to you with a precision that can look harsh until people understand what you are guarding.

Temperament

Krittika is fire that discriminates. The Sanskrit root, *krit*, means "to cut", and people with strong Krittika placements cut through ambiguity by reflex. They can read a room, find the lie or the weak link, and they are not always patient with people who can't.

Agni is the priest's fire, the witness fire that consumes the offering and verifies that something real was given. Krittika people share that quality: they want their work, their relationships, their effort to be *real*, and they have a low tolerance for the cosmetic. This makes them excellent editors, teachers, and judges. It can also make them harsh on themselves.

Strengths

Honesty, courage, and clarity under pressure. Strong leaders when they trust their own perception. Protective of children, students, and anyone smaller than them. Cooks well, often literally, Agni's domain.

Shadow

Cutting words land harder than intended. Can become the family critic, the friend group critic, the colleague who is technically correct but socially expensive. Burns out when there's no constructive container for the fire.

Relationships

Loves with intensity but tests partners, sometimes unfairly. The most stable relationships are with people who hold their own ground without flinching when Krittika gets sharp.

Career & vocation

Editing, teaching, military, surgery, jurisprudence, journalism, fire-related crafts (forge, kitchen, ceramics). Anywhere precision and discrimination matter.

Spiritual note

The Sun rules Krittika and Agni witnesses it; this nakshatra is most itself when the cutting energy is offered to a higher principle rather than wielded for its own sake. Daily fire practice (lighting a lamp, brief ghee offering) channels the flame.
