Sleep, alcohol, and screen discipline matter more during Rahu than during any other dasa. Rahu rewards routine and punishes substance use disproportionately. Many people who have a hard Rahu period later identify a single habit (late nights, recreational substances, doom-scrolling) as the leak that drained the rest of the dasa.
Career-wise, this is the period to take the unconventional shot. The job that the family does not understand, the move to the country no one in the family has been to, the field that did not exist a decade ago. Rahu favors that bet. The same dasa rarely rewards the safe, traditional, family-approved path.
Relationships need extra honesty. Rahu introduces fascination, and fascination is not the same as compatibility. Slowing down to check the actual fit is the work. New partners during a Rahu dasa often come from outside the person's usual circle. That novelty is part of the gift, but it also means the normal social filters do not apply. Direct conversations about values, money, and long-term plans matter more than usual.
